The Lithuanian president arrived at the Merdeka Palace at 10:30 a.m. local time, and his arrival was preceded by marching band troops from the Presidential Security Forces and followed by horsemen and warriors wearing royal uniforms.
After the welcome ceremony, President Jokowi and his Lithuanian counterpart headed to the rear porch of the Merdeka Palace for a one-on-one conversation.
The two leaders thereafter headed to the central hall of the palace to lead a bilateral meeting between several ministers of both countries.
While receiving President Grybauskaite, President Jokowi was accompanied by several cabinet ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Puan Maharani, Minister/State Secretary Pratikno, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignatius Jonan, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.(*)
