The president reviewed the BPJS Health service counters and polyclinics, such as ENT polyclinics, internal clinics, surgical clinics, neurology clinics, and stunting clinics. He also headed to the hospital's second floor that turned out to be vacant.
"The second and third floors are vacant. The team of the PUPR minister will check and see what they can repair," he noted in a statement from the Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau on Tuesday.
In addition, the head of state suggested improvement in the quality and quantity of health human resources in Mamasa.
To this end, Jokowi will encourage improvement in the health human resources' readiness, including by providing specialist education for doctors.
"We are still lacking specialist doctors. We will send some doctors from this hospital to become a specialist as an effort to improve the human resource," he remarked.

Apart from HR and infrastructure improvement, the president said he would also improve medical equipment at the hospital, such as the cath lab as well as for mammography and CT scans.
Such efforts are part of the government's gradual approach to ensure infrastructure and HR readiness before procuring expensive and advanced medical equipment.
Jokowi's visit to the hospital was part of his ongoing commitment to improve the quality of health services across Indonesia, especially in areas lacking medical infrastructure and HR.
Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, West Sulawesi Acting Governor Zudan Arif Fakhrulloh, and Acting Head of Mamasa District Muhammad Zain also accompanied the president on the visit.
During his working visit to West Sulawesi, Jokowi was also scheduled to review the Rangas 1 Vocational School, Tumpah Mamasa Market, and road infrastructure in the area.
