Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Junior Attorney General for Special Crime (JAM Pidsus) named three suspects in an alleged corruption case involving the procurement of Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels in 2012-2014, resulting in state losses worth Rp35.32 billion.

"Three suspects have been named," Director of Investigation at the JAM Pidsus Warih Sadono stated in Jakarta on Thursday.

The suspects in the corruption case included a top official of the state-owned oil company.

"Tomorrow, the names of the suspects will be made public," he noted.

The Attorney Generals Office (AGO) had earlier received a report on the results of an audit conducted by the State Audit Board that unearthed financial losses worth Rp35.32 billion to the state.

Investigators at the JAM Pidsus questioned former president director of PT Pertamina Transcontinental Suherimanto in Jakarta on Monday as a witness in the alleged corruption case.

Suherimanto was interrogated as a witness in alleged corruption in the provision and operation of the procurement of AHTS vessels/Transko Andalas ship and Transko Celebes vessel for the 2012-2014 period.

The investigators also questioned the employees of PT Pertamina Transcontinental and former members of the ship procurement team, AGO spokesman M. Rum stated in Jakarta.(*)
