Singapore (ANTARA News) - The provisional standings of the ASEAN School Games (ASG) 2017 on Sunday, which is being held after its opening on Friday (July 14) are as follows:

On Wednesday (July 12), the Indonesian Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Imam Nahrawi, urged the countrys athletes who compete at the ASEAN School Games 2017 in Singapore to perform optimally.

Nahrawi expressed hope when seeing off a total of 184 athletes to the tournament, which will be participated in by 10 member countries of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) here on Wednesday.

"You must be confident and perform optimally. Then, leave the rest to God," the minister stated.

Indonesia has set a target to grab 30 gold medals and to become the second overall winner at the tournament.

At the ASEAN School Games 2016 in Thailand, Indonesia won 29 gold, 32 silver, and 38 bronze medals.

Indonesias best achievement is inscribed during the ASG 2015 in Brunei Darussalam, where the country became the overall champion.
