Jokowi arrived at the building in the company of Minister/State Secretary Pratikno, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, Chief of the Central Java Provincial Police Inspector General Condro Kirono, and Commander of the Diponegoro Regional Military Command IV Major General Tatang Sulaiman.
Also present at the gathering themed "Strengthening Diversity in Unity" were ulemas, interfaith figures, and representatives of mass organizations in Central Java.
The gathering was aimed at forging harmony and peace among adherents of different faiths as foundation of nationhood and statehood.
Before visiting Semarang, the president paid a working visit to the special province of Yogyakarta. (*)
