Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Borneo Pasifik Global (BPG), tasked with representing Indonesia at Beijing`s China Coal and Mining Expo (CCME), affirmed that Indonesian coal is ready to dominate the Chinese market.

"BPG is doing its best, so that Chinese industrial consumers, power plant factories, and the mining and energy investment sectors are able to understand the Indonesian mining regulations and climate," Rendy Halim, BPG`s CEO, noted in a press statement received in Jakarta, Monday.

Halim pointed out that China requires huge energy supplies to cope with its growing industrial sector, so it has opened up wider opportunities for Indonesian coal enterprises to increase their export volume to China.

CCME is the biggest coal exhibition in China that is held every two years. This year, CCME is themed "Intelligent Manufacturing, Leading the Future."

Nearly 400 manufacturers from 18 countries, including the US, Russia, and Germany, are participating in this year`s CCME.

The CMME could serve as a platform to increase sound cooperation between China and Indonesia, especially in the commercial sector.

Consumers and investors from China could receive information on the price dynamics and transparency warranty in the mining and distributing processes of the commodity.

BPG`s Head of Sales David Tjie stated that this will help to boost confidence that China and Indonesia`s business relationship is highly secure and prospective.

"The market response is pretty good. They seem enthusiastic to know more about commercial coal in Indonesia. Through this exhibition, we would like to improve the coal trade between Indonesia and China in all aspects," Tjie said.

According to Tjie, BPG`s products had a low sulfur level of below one percent, which is considered suitable to meet the needs of Chinese industrial consumers who prioritize air quality.

BPG had begun exporting coal to China in 2015, with the volume reaching hundred thousand tons annually. By the end of 2017, export growth to China is expected to cumulatively reach 310 percent.

He said this year, Indonesian coal exports to China have already contributed US$1.68 billion to the national income, increasing from $1.03 billion.
