Bandarlampung, Lampung (ANTARA News) - The province of Lampung welcomed the opportunity for cooperation with Croatia in a number of sectors, including in coffee and cacao trade.

"There are cooperation opportunities in the trade sector, especially those in the plantation sector including coffee and cacao," said Vice Governor of Lampung Bachtiar Basri during a gathering event with Indonesian Ambassador to Croatia Sjachroedin ZP in Bandarlampung, on Wednesday.

He believed that the opportunity had emerged following the effort carried out by the Ambassador himself.

The Province of Lampung, he continued, is ready to explore the potential, beyond coffee and cacao trade.

During the meeting, Ambassador Sjachroeddin stated that the consumption of coffee and cacao in Europe is rather high.

He believed that later, Lampung products will not only be marketed for the territory of Croatia alone but its market could also be extended to neighboring countries, such as Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, Bosnia Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

Other than coffee and cacao trade, there is also opportunity for cooperation in other sectors, including in information technology, expedition through Croatian harbor and labour supply in the field of health and hospitality.

"Croatia is very advanced in the industry sector, especially in shipping, firearms and technology. Their technology system is even used by the US and through out Europe," said the Ambassador.
