"We have questioned (her)," the Jakarta Metropolitan Police director of special crime detective, Senior Commissioner Adi Deriyan, stated here on Wednesday.
The police have questioned a number of officials as part of investigation into the alleged graft case, he noted.
Deriyan remarked that the police have also questioned Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, and Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister, Susi Pudjiastuti, nearly a month ago.
The questioning of the two ministers was conducted outside the office of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police merely to adjust to their agenda, he added.
The police questioned Panjaitan to clarify his letter No. S-78-001/02/Menko/Maritim/X/2017 dated October 5, 2017, concerning the lifting of a moratorium on Jakarta Bay reclamation project, he explained.
After questioning the two ministers, police questioned three witnesses too. They are the chief of the Jakarta Regional Taxes and Levies Board (BPRD)`s regulation section, the chief of the BPRD`s planning section, and an employee of BPRD office in Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
Based on the results of the investigation, the police alleged that there has been embezzlement of state budget fund in the reclamation of islands C and D, he revealed.
The alleged embezzlement of state budget fund is related to the sale value of tax object (NJOP) of islands C and D set by the Jakarta Legislative Assembly (DPRD) at Rp3.1 million per square meter. But in reality, it has reached Rp25 million to Rp30 million per square meter.
