Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian wrestlers for the 18th Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta and Palembang, from August 18 to September 2, are training with members of a national team from Bulgaria in Camakov.

"Wrestlers who specially train with the Bulgarian national team are those who would perform in the men`s freestyle event. They follow all their training programs in Camakov," men`s freestyle coach Zulhaidar said in an official statement received by media here on Tuesday.

He stated that the six men`s freestyle wrestlers from Indonesia who are training in Bulgaria are Eko Roni Saputra (57 kilograms, hailing from East Kalimantan), Ardiansyah (65 kilograms/East Kalimantan), Rizky Dermawan(74 kilograms/Jakarta), Fakhriansyah (86 kilograms/South Kalimantan), Ronald Lumban Toruan (97 kilograms/South Sumatra), and Dimas Seto (125 kilograms/East Java).

Zulhaidir explained that Indonesian wrestlers could obtain a lot of benefits from the training program and matches with their sparring partners.

"Besides increasing their experience, they also apply programs that have so far been implemented," he added.

The Indonesian wrestling teams have been in Bulgaria for the past month for training ahead of Asian Games.

While the men`s freestyle team is training in Camakov, the women`s freestyle and men`s grego teams are training in Sofia.

Women`s freestyle wrestlers training in Sofia are Eka Setiawati (48 kilograms from West Java), Dewi Ulfa (53 kilograms /East Kalimantan), Mutiara Ayu Ningtiad (58 kilograms/East Java), Dewi Atiya (63 kilograms/West Java), Desi Sinta (69 kilograms/Banten), and Ridha Wahdaniyati (75 kilograms/South Kalimantan).

The men`s grego wrestlers are Hasan Sidik (59 kilograms/East Java), M Aliansyah (66 kilograms/East Kalimantan), Andika Sulaeman (75 kilograms/Jakarta), Lulut Gilang Saputra (86 kilograms/East Java), Ashar Ramadhani (98 kilograms/East Kalimantan), and Papang Ramadhani (130 kilograms/East Kalimantan).

One of Indonesian women`s wrestlers, Ridha Wahdaniyati, remarked that they continued training as usual although most of the wrestlers were performing Ramadan fasting, adding that they only have a day off per week.

"Fasting period here is longer," she revealed, adding that she usually used the day off for sightseeing in the city while waiting for the time to break the fast.
