Praya, W Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA News) - Operations of the Lombok International Airport in Praya, West Nusa Tenggara Province, on Friday, remained unaffected following the eruption of Mount Agung in Bali.

"The airport`s operations remain normal. However, flights to and from Bali are disrupted," General Manager of the Lombok International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Ardita stated here, Friday.

Four flights to Bali at the Lombok International Airport have been cancelled due to the temporary closure of Bali`s Ngurah Rai International Airport.

The activity of Mount Agung in Bali has been increasing since Thursday, with gas and thin ash being spewed continuously.

Transportation Ministry`s Directorate General of Air Transportation has issued a notice to airmen on Ngurah Rai airport`s closure to all airlines and airports across the world due to volcanic ash from Mount Agung`s eruption.

The operation of Bali`s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport were temporarily halted on Friday from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Indonesian Time (UTC+8) following the eruption of Mount Agung.
