Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - The Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) said the Games` medals with `batik` motifs reflects the diversity of Indonesian culture.

"We launched the medal design with the Asian Games logo and the batik style of all Indonesian regions. It showcases the cultural diversity and Indonesian unity," said Erick Thohir, chairman of the Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC).

The batik motifs of the Asian Games 2018 medals constituted batik motives used by the three Asian Games mascots.

In addition to cultural diversity, batik motifs also reflect the diversity of ethnic, religious, and racial Asian communities who participated in the 18th Asian Games.

In the activities of "Fun Run Asian Games" in Jakarta, as many as 5,000 people followed the race was within two kilometers of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Senayan complex.

"We apologize for having limit participants to 5,000 people because we want to guarantee the neatness and security of the organization," Erick said about the interest of the community in Fun Run Asian Games.

"This is the biggest fun run event because in addition to 5,000 people in Jakarta, there are 2,000 fun run participants in Palembang, which happens to be the anniversary of Police so that the fun run is also held in all cities in Indonesia," Erick said.
