Hangzhou, China (ANTARA) - Coordinating Human Development and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy guaranteed that medal-winning athletes in the 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, will receive a house from the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Ministry.

"I have contacted the Secretary General of the PUPR Ministry. There is good news. PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, with the approval of President Joko Widodo, will provide a house bonus for those who get a medal," Effendy noted in an official statement from the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Indonesia on Saturday.

He noted that the awarding of houses is not based on the number of medals that each athlete won.

"All athletes who won a medal will get a bonus in the form of a house, which is adjusted to their domicile," he remarked.

In addition, he stated that the Ministry of Youth and Sports was still calculating the other bonuses.

He further noted that the forms of other bonus to be given to medal-winning athletes at the 2022 Asian Para Games had yet to be confirmed.
