Based on a press release received in Jakarta on Thursday, the 28 hospitals comprise 15 hospitals in Jakarta, five hospitals in South Sumatera, seven hospitals in West Java, and one hospital in Banten.
The hospitals in Jakarta are Drs. Cipto Mangunkusumo, Persahabatan General Hospital, Fatmawati Hospital, Harapan Kita Hospital for Heart and Blood Vessel, Infectious Disease Hospital of Prof. Dr. Sulianto Saroso, National Brain Central Hospital, Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital, Dr. Mintoharjo Naval Hospital, Bhayangkara Hospital of Said R Sukanto, National Sports Hospital, Tarakan Hospital, Pasar Rebo Hospital, Pertamina Central Hospital, Mitra Kemayoran Hospital, and Metropolitan Medical Centre Hospital.
The hospitals in South Sumatra Province include Hoesin Palembang Hospital, Palembang Bari Hospital, Charitas Hospital, Siti Khadijah Hospital, and Siloam Hospital of Palembang.
The hospitals in West Java Province include Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Dr. Chasbullah Abdul Madjid Hospital of Bekasi, Ciawi Hospital, Cibinong Hospital, Santosa Kopo Hospital, Mitra Keluarga Hospital of West Bekasi, and Hermina Grand Wisata Hospital of Bekasi.
Sitanala General Hospital of Tangerang in Banten Province has been appointed to serve as a referral hospital for the 18th Asian Games.
The ministry has selected the hospitals based on strict criteria, including it to be an accredited hospital with easy access from and to the game arena.
The ministry has prepared 1,400 health workers, consisting of 407 seven doctors, 813 nurses, and 180 physiotherapists, who will be deployed to the venues of the 2018 Asian Games.
The ministry has also prepared 25 emergency ambulances with emergency handling facilities.
