Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Badminton players from Indonesia and Japan dominated Indonesia Open ending here on Sunday.

Based on the final results of the tournament the two countries each won two champion titles.

Indonesia won champion titles through Kevin Sanjaya Sukamulyo and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon in the men`s doubles and Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir in the mixed doubles events.

Japan won two titles through Kento Momota in the men`s singles and Yuki Fukushima/Sayaka Hirota in the women`s doubles events.

Although the two countries both were able to win two titles Japan had a right to become the general champion as it has two representatives as runner-ups.

Women`s Singles

Tai Tzu Ying (1/TWN/TPE) - Chen Yufei (5/CHN) 21-23, 21-15, 21-9.

Women`s Doubles

Yuki Fukushima/Sayak Hirota (2/JPN) - Mayu Matsumoto/Wakana Nagahara (JPN) 21-14, 16-21, 21-14

Men`s Singles

Kento Momota (JPN) - Viktor Axelsen (1/DEN) 21-14, 21-9

Mixed Doubles

Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (1/INA) -Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying (MAS) 21-17, 21-8

Men`s Doubles

Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamulyo (1/INA) - Takuto Inoue/Yuki Kaneko (7/JPN) 21-13, 21-16
