The tourist destinations that have been prepared covering the culinary areas to historical tourism by involving private entrepreneurs in the region, according to Titi Masrifahati, chief of Communication, Information, statistics and Coding affairs office of the city of Bekasi on Saturday.
"The Bekasi city government as the local organizing committee of the Asian Games tries to enliven the Asian Games among others by preparing tourist destinations," Titi remarked.
She further said that the athletes, officials, organizers and audiences of the Asian Games who will utilize the Patriot Chandrabaga stadium in Ahmad Yani street, South Bekasi as the arena of soccer matches, can access the Summarecon Culinary Festival which is about one kilometer from the stadium to the north.
"This culinary festival will serve dozens of domestic and overseas food menus with distinctive flavors, and this year`s culinary festival in summarecon has adjusted our schedule with the Asian Games," she said.
The culinary destination takes place in the parking lot of Downtown Walk Summarecon Mall Bekasi as a culinary tenant for visitors.
A total of 16,920 athletes and officials from 45 Asian countries have been registered for the Games. Overall, more than 11 thousand athletes will vie for medals in 40 sports and 67 disciplines.
