Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Meteorology and Geophysics (BMKG) office said it has detected an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter Scale rocking southern Sumbawa in West Nusa Tenggara on Monday.

BMKG spokesman Hary Tirto Djatmiko said here on Monday the quake, with an epicenter in the sea at a depth of 10 kilometers hit at 19.06 local time .

No casualty had been reported as a result of the quake

The quake hit only a day after a bigger one with a magnitude of 7 on the Richter Scale jolted neighboring island of Lombok leaving at least 98 people killed on the island and eight days after another major quake with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter Scale that rocked Lombok, Sumbawa and Bali leaving 16 people dead.
