"Regarding the current earthquake, we are more focused on ensuring that school activities run smoothly," he remarked in Solo, Wednesday.
Hence, his side has sent as many as 65 tents to conduct temporary learning activities.
"These tents are an urgent need. We have sent some from Jakarta and some from Denpasar," he stated.
He said the tents from Denpasar were earlier used for handling the eruption of Mount Agung.
In addition to providing a temporary place to study, it has been ensured that other needs are met, including of learning devices, uniforms, and supplementary food.
Meanwhile, he noted that the earthquake not only damaged several schools but also the Office of Technical Implementation Units in several areas in Lombok.
He remarked that the Ministry of Education and Culture was currently maintaining a record of school and office buildings damaged by the earthquake.
"We just recorded the data, but for the time being, that was not our focus, but the first learning activity that was confirmed to be going as it should," he added.
