Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Japanese coach Christoph Koschel admitted that he was proud of his team after it was able to win a gold medal in the group dressage event here on Monday.

In the event, held at Equestrian Park in Pulomas, Japan was able to beat four other countries participating in the event, namely South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and Chinese Taipei.

"I am proud of my team because it can deliver consistent results," he said adding that he was sure the Japanese team could work together.

The gold medal went to the Japanese team after it was able to achieve the highest score of 69.499 percent.

The silver medal went to South Korea, with a 68.440 percent score, and the bronze went to Thailand, with a 66.715 percent score.

Indonesia finished fourth, with a 66.606 percent score; followed by Chinese Taipei, with a 64.009 percent score.

The Japanese team consisted of Shunsuke Terui, Akane Kuroki, Kazuki Sado, and Madanao Takahashi.

The highest individual score for the Japanese team was achieved by Takahashi, with his Febriano 58 horse at 69.823 percent, which was ranked fourth out of 26 competing equestrian athletes.
