Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Two Indonesian female gymnasts, Wahyu Putri and Nabila Evandestiera, will compete in the rhythmic gymnastics qualifying round at JIExpo Hall D of Kemayoran, here, at 6 pm local time on Monday.

Wahyu and Nabila will compete in four categories of equipment, namely hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon.

Grouped in part C "subdivision", the two Indonesian female gymnast will compete with seven other female gymnasts from three different countries, namely Sri Lanka, Japan and Kazakhstan.

There are three parts in the qualifying round, including part A with 12 gymnasts, part B with 11 gymnasts, and part C with nine gymnasts.

Nabila has earlier made an achievement by donating two bronze medals from the rhythmic gymnastics in the ball and hoop category in Sea Games 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

At the 2018 Asian Games, Indonesia has donated two medals from artistic gymnastics through female gymnast Rifda Irfanaluthfi and the male gymnast Agus Prayoko.

Rifda won silver after successfully finishing second in the final round on the women`s floor exercise category. Whereas Agus managed to occupy the third place in the final men`s vault table category.

To note, previously during participation in the Asian Games, Indonesia has not even won a medal in the gymnastics branch. *** 4 ***
