"The campaign team will comprise professionals free from conflict of interest," Uno said here on Saturday.
He quoted Subianto as saying that active officials, such as Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and several other governors, should not be involved in the team because they need to focus on their tasks.
"We do not want a division. Instead, we want unity. They should focus on developing their respective regions," Uno noted.
The campaign team will most likely be headed by former chief of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) Djoko Santoso.
"Mr Santoso has a good network, leadership skills, and sound relationships. We hope that he will help in the finalization with the support of the second and third layers, who are energetic and accepted by all political parties," Uno remarked.
Earlier, the presidential and vice presidential candidates Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Ma`ruf Amin (Jokowi-Amin pair) have appointed young entrepreneur Erick Tohir to lead their campaign as Chief of their success team.
"This is a combination, and we will combine all the elements so that everyone can be involved, including professionals, businessmen, and politicians; it is better when it is diverse," Jokowi stated at the Cemara House in Jakarta on Friday.
He believed that Tohir was both a professional and a big entrepreneur.
He also owns a basketball club and a football club, Jokowi added.
"This is not a matter of politics, but it is about management. It is about how one can manage this campaign and carry it out well," he added.
He also explained that there are a number of senior politicians in the pair`s Campaign Director Board.
Aside from being known as a successful entrepreneur, Tohir is also known as the Head of the Indonesia Asian Games 2018 Organizing Committee or the INASGOC.
Indonesia will hold simultaneous, direct, and democratic presidential and legislative elections in April 2019.
