Indonesia has been mandated by its constitution to help preserve the world peace, and so it will play its role, Jokowi remarked.

He added that Indonesia would play a role in the religious aspects in dealing with various kinds of international conflicts.

"It is a concrete thing to push for truth. We will do as far as we can," he explained.

On the relations between Indonesia and Korea, he revealed that the two countries are natural partners for cooperation towards an international agenda which will be progressive for the world.

"We both adhere to democracy. Demographically, we complement each other, with 60 percent of Indonesian population being below 30 years old," he elaborated.

In a reply to a question from one of the students regarding the unity between South and North Korea, Jokowi noted that he was glad when President Moon Jae-in met North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

"It was a historic moment. They are close brothers of the same tribe, and so a meeting between them is a normal thing to do. I was happy to see it," he remarked.

He stated that he was also happy to see South Korean prime minister and North Korean deputy prime minister present at the recent Asian Games 2018.

"This shows the brotherhood and unity between North and South Korea. It is close to reality, and we hope it will really happen. The energy of peace will start from Korea," he pointed out.
