Jakarta, Sept 21 (ANTARA News) - The 2018 Indonesian Cultural Festival (ICF), held by the Indonesian Embassy in Baku, Sept 13-16, produced a trade agreement between Indonesian company PT Alam Sari Interbuana (PT PASI) and Azerbaijani company, PT Eden Group LTD.

A statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Baku via a short message service received by Antara here on Friday noted that the trade agreement is on the delivery of spices from Indonesia to Azerbaijan, and the contract was signed on the sidelines of the ICF at Founten Square in Baku on Sept 16.

The signing of the cooperation contract was attended by Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Husnan Bey Fananie; Sigit Ismaryanto, a representative from PT PASI; and Tural Hasan Sade, a representative from PT Eden Group.

According to Ismaryanto, Eden Group LTD has been cooperating with PT PASI on the shipment of spices.

"Since 2017, Eden Group LTD has conducted a trial order for spices from Indonesia. We also open trade opportunities for some products, such as briquette, coconut shell charcoal, tropical fruits, instant drinks, and other products," Ismaryanto noted.

He added that the success of ICF 2018 was indicated by the increase in economic cooperation between Indonesia and Azerbaijan.

"Let us return back the glory of Indonesian spices," Ismaryanto stated.

Meanwhile, Sade said the spices from Indonesia were of good quality.

"Spices from Indonesia are very good and are consumed by many Azerbaijanis," he pointed out.

Ambassador Sade noted that this cooperation was one step towards enhancing economic development for Indonesia and Azerbaijan.

"God willing, in future, there will be spices from Indonesia in Azerbaijan. I laud this cooperation," he noted.

One of the programs of the ICF 2018 was a Business Meeting that brought together Indonesian and Azerbaijani businesses.
