Taxation Director General Robert Pakpahan said the tax revenues included Rp42 trillion in oil and gas income tax and tax revenues from other sectors.
"Oil and gas income tax grew 19.2 percent and tax revenues from other sector rose 16.4 percent," Robert said here on Friday.
He said income taxes from non-oil/gas sector grew 15.7 percent to Rp437.4 trillion and value added tax increased 15.1 percent to Rp307.6 trillion.
Revenues in land and buildings taxes reached Rp7.5 trillion or an increase of 506.4 percent and other taxes totaled Rp4.9 trillion or 12.5 percent higher .
Robert said the processing industry, trade and financial service are the sectors registering tax revenues until August 31 this year.
The processing industry recorded tax revenues at Rp224.43 trillion or an increase of 13.6 percent year-on-year. The trade sector recorded a 29.44 percent growth to Rp151.06 trillion and the financial service recorded Rp99.64 trillion in tax revenue or 5.84 percent high year-on-year.
"By sectors, performance is good in almost all sectors with the exception of the manufacturing industry, which recorded a slowdown but the growth was still two digit at 13.6 percent," Robert said.
More significant growth was recorded in import taxes which generally increased - up 26.45 percent or stronger than the growth of 18.46 percent recorded in the same period in 2017.
