Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Communication Studies School, London School of Public Relations (LSPR), inaugurated a campus in Denpasar, Bali, Oct 16, to demonstrate LSPR`s support and contribution in generating qualified human resources to maintain and develop Bali`s potentials.

The LSPR Bali campus was inaugurated by Prita Kemal Gani, the founder and director of LSPR-Jakarta. The event was attended by several local officials and representatives from government and educational institutions.

"Bali is one of the most famous tourist sites in the world. Tourists from around the world come to enjoy every aspect of the island, from its natural beauty, food, and transportation to hotel and restaurant services," Gani noted in a statement received by Antara here Wednesday.

Gani added that Bali is one of Indonesia`s valuable assets that should be protected from foreign control.

"One of the ways to guard Bali is through the medium of education. Everyone in Bali should be able to continue to run his or her business and have a degree. Thus, those who study at a formal educational institution can continue to work and innovate and dare to stand on their own feet," she stated.

Along with the LSPR Bali campus, two secretariat offices that will also occupy the same location are the Indonesia Hotel General Manager Association and the ASEAN Public Relations Network.

Both organizations also support various activities carried out by LSPR Bali, including providing opportunities for LSPR students to participate in mentoring in Bali.

The inauguration of the LSPR Bali campus was attended by the vice governor of Bali, head of the Bali Regional Police, chair of the Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants Association, Private Higher Education Coordination Region VIII, Chair of the Bali International College of Tourism, as well as public relations professionals from ASEAN countries and representatives of Public Relations Institute of Australia.
