"Yes, indeed, there have been hand capture activities carried out in Jakarta since this afternoon. As of this evening, there were 14 people who were detained at the Central Kalimantan DPRD and in the private sector. They have been taken to the KPK office for further investigation," said Deputy Chairman Basaria Panjaitan in Jakarta on Friday.
The KPK alleged that there have been transactions between the Central Kalimantan DPRD and the private sector regarding the implementation of DPRD duties in the fields of plantations and the environment.
"In addition, there are hundreds of millions in money secured as part of a "fee commitment," Basaria said.
In accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code, the KPK has 24 hours to determine the status of the detained parties.
"Further information will be delivered later, after the status of the detained parties has been determined to be maximal within 24 hours. After that, it will be delivered through a press conference tomorrow," he said.
