According to Nila, the government will make maximum efforts to help recognize the characteristics of the Lion Air accident victims who died.
The identification process that was centered at the Said Sukanto Police Hospital, said Nila and further added it will be carried out by all elements of health both from the National Police Hospital and from the hospital under the auspices of the Ministry of Health such as Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital.
"Hospitals throughout Indonesia will participate in this process like when the Adam Air accident happened a few years ago," Nila said.
Meanwhile, according to the Head of the Forensic Medical Installation of the Indonesian Police Hospital Senior Commissioner Edy Purnomo said, a series of identification activities to match the data of victims before death (antemortem) and after death (postmortem) will be carried out at the Police Hospital Raden Said Sukanto on Tuesday (30/10) 6:30 a.m.
Until 00:30 a.m. WIB, Tuesday (10/30), as many as 24 corpses arrived at the Forensic Medical Installation of the Police Hospital Raden Said Sukanto.
Previously, aircraft type Boeing 737 Max 8 with flight number JT610 belonging to the Lion Air operator who flew from Soekarno Hatta Airport, Banten, to Depati Amir Airport in Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung, lost contact on Monday, October 29 2018 at around 06.33 WIB.
The aircraft with the PK-LQP registration number was reported last caught radar at coordinates 05 46.15 S - 107 07:16 E. This aircraft departs at 06.10 WIB and on schedule will arrive at Pangkal Pinang at 07.10 WIB. The aircraft had requested to return to the original departure point or "return to base" before finally disappearing from radar.
The National SAR Agency (Basarnas) ensured that the Lion Air JT610 aircraft crashed in the waters of Karawang Regency, West Java. Victims from unfortunate aircraft will be evacuated to the National Police Hospital.
The plane itself carried 178 adult passengers, one child passenger and two babies with two pilots and five crew members.
