Jakarta, Nov 4 (ANTARA News) - Beneficiaries of crashed Lion Air JT 610 victims will receive compensation of more than Rp1.3 billion, which includes compensation or insurance and baggage claims from the company.

"For insurance claims, Lion Air follows Minister of Transportation Regulation N0.77 of 2011, but the compensation must be adjusted to the status of the victims," Corporate Communications officer of Lion Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, said here on Saturday.

The family of each passenger will receive compensation in the form of insurance claims amounting to Rp1.25 billion, baggage claims Rp50 million, waiting compensation Rp5 million and grief money Rp25 million.

Lion Air also fully facilitates family`s needs in Jakarta such as hotels, transportation, food and drink, during the search and identification process of bodies.

The airlines also provides round trip tickets for families as well as fees or tickets for delivery of the bodies for the funeral process.

Based on the provisions of the ministerial regulation, passengers with the dead status of an aircraft accident will receive compensation of Rp1.25 billion. While if the passenger survives, the calculation will be different.
