"As a result, we agreed that we will maintain unity and cohesion, prioritize dialogue in all matters, and most importantly, the issue relating to the flag has been explained, reaffirmed before the Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security affairs, Minister of Religious affairs, Secretary General of the Nahdlatul Ulama Board (PBNU), a Banser representative (Multipurpose Ansor Barisan) and chairman of community organizations that should not flag HTI (Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia) but this one (Tauhid flag) has never been banned in Indonesia," Hanif said after the national dialogue in Jakarta on Friday.
Hanif said that in front of the Tauhid flag, any color is permissible. The monotheistic flag should not be banned, excommunicated or even burned, which has become an agreement in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
He said the Tauhid flag is legal, must not be contested, and is not prohibited in Indonesia.
"God willing, hopefully with this agreement, this flag must be respected and glorified. PBNU, Banser have apologized, God willing, hopefully the integrity of NKRI can always be maintained," he said.
Hanif also said that the Tauhid flag is not to be clashed with the red and white of the Indonesian Nation for any interests and intentions.
"This flag has never been banned and must be upheld and should not be bumped with a red and white flag. We are proud of the red and white flag as our country and we are proud of Tauhid as the belief of Muslims," he said.
He further criticized those who abused or did not respect the monotheistic flag such as the act of wearing a Tauhid flag as a seat.
"People who defend Tauhid must be the first to glorify monotheism. We always remind you of the great events, demonstrations and so on," he said.
"So it is obligatory to be glorified, it should not be humiliated, it should not be put down," he explained.
He further said in the national dialogue, there had been an agreement that monotheism everywhere should be glorified.
