They will be assigned at the Indonesian Embassies, consulate general office and at the United Nations` Permanent Representative office.
"The Vice President provided inputs and directives for the would-be Indonesian representatives. He basically answered two things that the representatives needed to know," Foreign Affairs Ministry Spokesman Arrmantha Nasir said here on Friday.
The two important points are the strengthening of economic cooperation and efforts to maintain peace in the region.
"The two things are to boost trade with the respective countries of assignment and to contribute to the peace," Nasir said.
Besides the vice president, the routine briefing to diplomats also invited other state officials to offer inputs to the would-be ambassadors.
The other state officials included Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Bindar Panjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, a State Audit Board member and a commissioner of the General Election Commission (KPU).
The briefing is carried out every year for diplomats and prospective new diplomats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, before departing for the country where they are to be assigned.
