President Director of the state owned industrial electronic equipment company Zakky Gamal Yasin said the rooftop PV system will be one of products to be launched by LEN at the end of last October and it will be available in the market for the people to start using renewable energy as an alternative.
"We had launched pre launching in October, but it will be available in the market only next year. Hopefully the government would issue a regulation that it could be massively produced," Zakky said here on Thursday.
Zakky said that the people could install "PV On-Grid System" connected directly to PLN networks by optimizing the utilization of renewable energy with photovoltaic (PV).
The product named, LenSOLAR, will be offered in three types -- LenSOLAR 1.5 kilo Watt (KW), LenSOLAR 3kW, and LenSOLAR 5kW.
PT Surya Energi Indotama (SEI), a subsidiary of PT Len Industri in solar energy system will be in charge of the management of rooftop PV.
Zakky said using rooftop PV is more energy efficient saving up to 30 percent of energy bill as in daylight solar energy could be used.
LenSolar produced by PT Len Industri would contribute to the success in using energy mix in which renewable energy making up 23 percent in 2025.
Zakky said he hopes the new ministerial regulation on rooftop PV would soon be issued that commercial production could start.
