Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Coordinating Human Development and Culture Ministry (Kemenko PMK) commits to fighting drugs by cooperating with the National Narcotics Agency to conduct impromptu drug tests on over 500 employees, both civilian apparatuses and contract workers.

"In accordance with the directives of Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, the Kemenko PMK continues to fight drugs in the office environment," ministry`s Secretary Y. B. Satya Sananugraha noted in a written statement received here on Tuesday.

He said that the Kemenko PMK had since 2016 conducted such activities to prevent drug trafficking or abuse in the Ministry of PMK`s office.

In the meantime, Director of Community Participation at the National Narcotics Agency Mohamad Jupri welcomed the Discipline Enforcement of the Coordinating Ministry for PMK.

Jupri remarked that urine tests in government ministries and institutions were crucial to making the environment free of drugs.

The activity held on the 7th floor of the Kemenko PMK building was attended by officials of the ministry comprising Echelon l, II, III, and lV officers as well as certain functional officials and contractors at the Ministry of PMK.
