The refugees were aboard a 10-gross ton wooden boat, which anchored in Blang Geulumpang village, Kuala Idi, East Aceh regency, at around 08.00 a.m.
"We have a list of them, and we will deliver them to the local government of East Aceh, as instructed by the (immigration) law," head of Langsa Immigration Office Mirza Akbar told journalists.
According to Akbar, the Rohingya refugees did not bring any documents or identifications with them.
The immigrants were not stranded but only docked for a while in Kuala Idi as bad weather struck them on their way to Malaysia.
"They confessed that their destination was Malaysia. Their boat still had 250 liters of fuel left," Akbar noted.
Based on the UNHCR data, there are 13,800 refugees registered at the UNHCR office in Indonesia, including the Rohingyas.
About 25 percent of the total refugees registered at the UNHCR office in Indonesia are children.
Although Indonesia has not ratified the 1951 Convention on Refugees, the country has long had a tradition of accepting refugees and people who need international protection.
