"Thank God, the application of technology-based infrastructure service concept at Kertajati Airport, through the Airport Management System, is considered to fulfill the requirements. The application is an effort to provide the best service to airport users," BIJB President Director Virda Dimas Ekaputra stated here on Monday.
Kertajati, which has been operational only for almost one year, is also placed as the top 10 airports based on 105 assessments.
The two awards were received by BIJB`s Director of Operations and Business Development, Agus Sugeng Widodo, on Dec 7, 2018.
The Editor in Chief of Bandara Magazine, Erwin Nurdin, presented the award to the representative of BJIB Airport witnessed by Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, and Director General of Civil Aviation. Polana B Pramesti.
Ekaputra noted that the services provided in Kertajati Airport are currently being developed by applying Airport Management System (AMS) technology for operational and commercial purposes.
According to him, Kertajati Airport management applies cashless airport system, such as in parking and ticketing services.
This non-cash payment system is intended to build integration through smart cards or QR codes that can be accessed by airport users and passengers using smart phones.
"This service will provide the best experience for airport users and passengers through one channel," he added.
He noted that the security system, using 200 surveillance cameras and access control integrated in the Airport IT system, is also an important assessment.
"As a smart airport, technology-based security services should be an important element. Therefore, Kertajati Airport is equal to other world-class airports," Ekaputra remarked.
