Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Rescue operations continued to look for 41 missing people in Garehong hamlet, Sinarresmi village, Cisolok sub-district, Sukabumi District, West Java, which was hit by a landslide on Monday (Dec 31) afternoon.

"The landslide occurred on Monday at 5:30 p.m. local time. The SAR team continues to search for its victims," Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said in a statement here, Tuesday.

The landslide buried 30 homes and affected 32 families comprising 107 people. Forty one people were missing, two dead, three seriously injured, and 61 others displaced in the natural disaster.

The rescue operations, however, were hampered by rain, power outage, and lack of heavy equipment.
