"We will answer this tomorrow (at the presidential candidate debate)," the president stated at the Sentul International Convention Center here on Wednesday.
On April 11, 2017, an unidentified man attacked Baswedan, a prominent investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), with hydrochloric acid.
However, despite the huge publicity and police investigation, his attackers have still not been officially identified, much less brought to justice.
The case was considered as a stumbling block for Jokowi`s administration that is viewed as not being serious in handling human rights abuse cases and law enforcement.
Jokowi said he will provide answers to any questions regarding the theme of the debate on legal issues, human rights, corruption, and terrorism.
Jokowi admitted to not having made any special preparations with his mate Ma`ruf Amin.
"We will come (to the debate), and if there are questions, we will answer. That is it," he added.
