"Insha Allah (God willing), we will establish a holding on media printing with the concept of operating holding," the ministry`s head of mining, strategic industry and media sector Mahmud Husein told Antara here on Wednesday.
"We want this (establishment) as soon as possible. Hopefully, it can be done in 2019 or 2020," he stated.
The ministry has also been formulating the plan to consolidate five state-owned firms under the media cluster of the National Publishing News Corporation (NPNC), namely Antara News Agency, the State Printing Company (PNRI), state-owned publisher PT Balai Pustaka, state film producer Perum Produksi Film Negara (PFN), and state banknote printing firm Perum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (Peruri).
"Our aim is to synergize all resources in each state enterprise. One example is Perum PNRI, which is tasked with printing the Holy Quran. We can have the synergy with other state firm in marketing," he added.
The Quran is needed, especially for people in disaster-hit regions, Islamic boarding schools, and universities, he noted.
