Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla suggested presidential candidate Joko Widodo and its running partner, vice presidential candidate Ma`ruf Amin, to stick to the fact while delivering statement and answering questions at the 2019 presidential debate.

"The matters discussed in this first presidential debate are about law, human rights, corruption, and counter-terrorism. All of these are things that Jokowi`s administration have been dealt with," said Vice President Jusuf Kalla here on Thursday, Jan 17.

Kalla, who was also the Indonesian Vice President for the period of 2004-2009, argued that statements or answers that are based on facts would be easy to delivered.

"Therefore, whenever questions related to law, human rights and counterterrorism (appeared on the debate), it can be easily answered with the actual facts," he remarked.

Kalla also participated in the Maghrib Prayer with Jokowi and Ma`ruf Amin in one of the mosques in Jakarta.

Earlier, Jokowi and Ma`ruf Amin stated that they are ready to face the first 2019 presidential candidate debate held this Thursday night. "We are ready, and the preparation is really good," Jokowi said.

When being asked whether there was specific division of debate material that would be delivered by Jokowi and Amin, Jokowi stated that there is no such division.

Jokowi further said that he and Ma`ruf Amin will face the presidential debate calmly and confidently. "We are going to do this debate calmly," he remarked.

Jokowi claimed that he had received a lot of advice from the current Vice President Jusuf Kalla for the preparation of 2019 presidential candidate debate.
