Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo presented his plan for developing Indonesian civilization, which should start with three aspects of health, education, and development.

Speaking at the final round of the presidential debate here on Sunday, Ganjar explained that he plans to develop the “One village, one health facility, one health officer” program, as he believes that good healthcare access is needed in Indonesian villages to improve the livelihood of Indonesians.

If the healthcare aspect has been satisfied, the education and cultural aspects should be developed at once to ensure the best education quality accessible to the people.

"Better and more inclusive education access, a firm education curriculum, and all facilities should be able to provide the best access for our pupils, as well as teachers and university lecturers,” he expounded.

Ganjar pointed out a Yogyakarta resident, Kalis, as the inspiration for his vision of human development, which he devised with his running mate Mahfud MD.

He said that Kalis asked him to be attentive to residents who have long been marginalized, especially women and people with disabilities.

The last aspect, development, should be oriented toward human resources, good character, politeness, tolerance, and not prioritizing those who emphasize power, status, and intelligence to ensure each Indonesian person becomes a whole person.

The three aspects, he said, can be implemented at once through better digitization, including by improving digital technology infrastructure, to ensure residents exposed to quality media can develop themselves.

The presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs participated in five televised debate rounds before election day. The first two debates took place on December 12 and 22, 2023, and the next two rounds took place on January 7 and 21, 2024.

In the final debate round on Sunday, presidential candidates will debate about education, health, manpower, culture, information technology, social welfare, and inclusivity.
