Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita has urged Mayora Group, an Indonesian consumer products company, to build a factory in Russia as a form of business expansion.

"I will encourage Mayora to establish a factory. We encourage Mayora products for trade returns, because the products have added value. We should not focus on coal, Crude Palm Oil (CPO), and mining commodities," Lukita said here on Wednesday.

The trade minister also encouraged the Russian aviation industry, Sukhoi, to build factories in Indonesia.

On the occasion, President Director of Mayora Group Andre Atmadja conveyed the possibility of Mayora to build a factory in Russia.

"We need to consider our economic value in Russia. If the economic value is positive, we will build a factory in Russia," he remarked.

This year, Mayora set out a target to export two thousand containers of its products to Russia, with a value of US$40 million.

The amount is higher than Mayora`s export performance to Russia in 2018, which is one thousand containers.

If Mayora can export its products to Russia with a value of $100 million, the company will establish a factory.

"We should win the competition, offer affordable prices, and increase brand awareness," he added.
