Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - Chief of the Presidential Staff Office Moeldoko revealed that President Joko Widodo had sent a team of presidential doctors to assist the treatment of former first lady Ani Yudhoyono in Singapore.

"I met Doctor Terawan yesterday, head of the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, to discuss the matter," Moeldoko stated at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The former TNI commander remarked that Dr Terawan and the team immediately departed for Singapore where Ani Yudhoyono was undergoing treatment on Tuesday (Feb 12) afternoon.

"All are praying for Mrs Ani to be immediately healed," Moeldoko remarked.

Responding to a question on whether President Jokowi planned to visit Ani Yudhoyono in Singapore, Moeldoko said he was still looking for time.

Regarding the diagnosis stating that the disease is blood cancer, he affirmed that the team of doctors tried their best in handling the case.

"It must be as much as possible. Of course, in terms of security, there is a system that we provide. Definitely, the responsibility of the state is attached there," he stated.

Moeldoko invited all parties to pray for the speedy recovery of Mrs Ani and that former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and her family be granted the strength and endurance to face the situation.
