Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential candidate number 01 Joko Widodo explained that he used the electability survey for evaluation.

"Yes, good results can actually weaken us. They make us less vigilant," Jokowi said at the PDIP DPD office in Jakarta on Wednesday, referring to the results of the Kompas R&D survey.

The Kompas R&D survey in March 2019 showed the electability of presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 01, Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin, which was 49.2 percent.

The electability of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 02, Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, was 37.4 percent.

The survey was conducted from February 22-March 5, 2019.

Previously, in the Kompas R & D survey in October 2018, the electability of vice presidential candidate number 01 was 52.6 percent, while the electability of the presidential and vice presidential candidate number 02 was 32.7 percent.

According to Jokowi, the results of a survey that are not good can encourage volunteers, supporters and party cadres to work more militantly.

"I think all the surveys we see are corrective materials, evaluation materials to encourage better work," Jokowi said.

Relating to the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the president not needing to take leave, Jokowi explained that he respected the decision.
