Ambon (ANTARA) - Maluku Regional Police Chief Inspector General of Police Royke Lumowa presided over a ceremony to receive three main regional police officers transferred in line with the decree of National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian.

"In this changeover of position, we can observe several positive things, and we congratulate the officials, who have been transferred from Maluku, and for the new officials, who will fulfill their duties here," the police chief stated in Ambon on Thursday.

Being assigned to a new region has its own pros, since for those originally coming from Maluku, it might not be an issue. However, those being transferred from other regions will certainly be far from their families to serve the country and nation.

"The task in Maluku offers us solace when we are able to 'compensate ourselves' or engage ourselves in accordance with the lessons learned at the Police Staff College (PTIK), Lumowa remarked.

One of the physiology lecturers at PTIK opined that all human beings facing difficult situations should be able to fruitfully engage themselves through personal experiences.

For instance, if a sickly individual can maintain high spirits and harbor positive thoughts of the future, his recovery will be faster than when he is overcome by thoughts about illness and other acute issues that may further worsen his condition.

The Maluku Regional Police chief, accompanied by Deputy Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Teguh Sarwono, expressed gratitude to the former head of Operational Division Senior Commissioner Gatot Mangkurat Putra, who were assigned to secure the convening of the 2019 Parliamentary and Presidential Elections.

His gratitude also went to Senior Commissioner Thein Tabero who had actively fought the menace of drugs, including errant police officers involved in the drug cases, and to Director of Community Building Affairs Senior Commissioner Gunawan Prijambodo who has, until now, served in the Maluku Regional Police and offered significant contribution.

the deputy chief of the Maluku Police congratulated the three key new officials for conducting their duties in the Maluku Regional Police.

"Welcome to the wives, who accompanied their husbands on duty here, and we hope to continue to support the husbands because the police works are quite extensive. According to the saying, behind a successful husband is a great wife, who accompanies him," he noted.

The three replaced Maluku Regional Police officials were Director of Drug and Police Senior Commissioner Thein Tabero, who was assigned the post of director of Criminal Investigation in the Jambi Regional Police, and his position was replaced by Senior Commissioner Cahyo Utomo, working as a lecturer at the Indonesian Police Academy's Education and Training Center.

Senior Commissioner Gatot Mangkurat Putra received a new assignment as intermediate policy analyst for the National Police Headquarters while the new officials comprised Senior Commissioner Anjar Wicaksana Soediharjo, who had worked as main lecturer at the National Police Education and Training Center.

Senior Commissioner Gunawan Prijambodo, was replaced by Adjunct Senior Commissioner Andy Erwin, who had served as deputy director of the Regional Police of Maluku's Security-Intelligence Department..
