Prabowo committed to realizing a corruption-free government

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto is committed to realizing a corruption-free government if he win the presidential elections.

Chairman of the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party Prabowo Subianto assessed that the corruption in Indonesia was really bad.

"I testify and pledge that I will build a corruption-free government," Prabowo Subianto said during a grand campaign at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) in Jakarta on Sunday.

Prabowo said, he had once been asked by foreign journalists regarding his reason to compete in the presidential elections.

He explained that he was fed up with the current conditions. The corruption in Indonesia had entered the stage 4 category.

"I replied, I am fed up with this situation," he said.

He considered that the corruption in Indonesia had been very severe and had even eliminated economic resources for the people. The People was in a difficult condition.

Because of corruption, there were Indonesians who could not have access to clean water, he said.

"There are people who are still at risk of famine," he said.

Supporters of Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno pair began to pack the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) in Jakarta early Sunday ahead of the pair's grand campaign.

"To ladies and gentlemen who have just arrived, please get into the stadium since the doors are already open," one of the event's organizers earlier said.

By 03.00 a.m. on Sunday, tens of thousands of people have packed the soccer field at the stadium. Some of them sat on the tribune, Antara observed.

The 2019 presidential election was followed by two pairs of candidates, Jokowi-Ma`ruf and Prabowo-Sandiaga.
