The Australian cruise ship "Coral Adventure" will be carrying tourists who work as researchers in Britain, Belgium, France, the United States, New Zealand, Russia, the Netherlands and Australia, the head of the Banyuasin District's Culture and Tourism Office, Aminuddin, said here, Wednesday.
"We will welcome their arrival at the Sungsang Village Pier at around 08.00 WIB," he said.
The guests will be welcomed by traditional dances, namely the Migrant Bird Dance and the Tingkuan Dance, from the residents of the fishing village belonging to the Sungsang community.
In addition, the district government will open craft outlets where local products, ranging from crafts to culinary items, will be promoted.

The Sungsang Fishermen’s Village is one of the leading tourist destinations in South Sumatra that the local government will continue to develop.
This fishermen’s village has been around for decades and thousands of tourists, both domestic and foreign have visited the place, according to district government officials.
The people of Palembang usually refer to the people of Sungsang as "sea wongs", because the settlement is located at the mouth of the Musi River which faces the Bangka Strait or the South China Sea. Most of Sungsang’s residents are fishermen.
"The district-level tourism development is being boosted by South Sumatra so that the tourism potential can be maximized," he stated. (INE)
