State construction company PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk dispatched its fleet of 52 buses to transport 2,300 travelers for free under a homecoming program called the BUMN Mudik Bareng during Eid 2019.
Corporate Office employees, business units, subsidiaries and their families and workers in various Waskita Karya projects in Greater Jakarta, East Java, and Sumatra were part of the free homecoming program held by the company for the second time.
"The 2019 homecoming travel along with the BUMN Mudik Bareng program is a form of social responsibility that turns out to be in demand among employees and their families, project workers, and the general public, so the target of 2,300 travelers can be achieved quickly," Director of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, I Gusti Ngurah Putra noted in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
Putra is optimistic that the program would be able to ease and facilitate the homecoming flow, lessen the number of land accidents, and reduce the burden on travelers in the face of Eid al-Fitr.
The buses carrying the Waskita Karya homecoming participants were dispatched simultaneously from different locations on Thursday, May 30, 2019. However, several business units send their employees on May 26 and 29 2019, which are from the Minangkabau Airport Project and the Kriyan-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar Toll Project (KLBM).
