Tahuna, N Sulawesi (ANTARA) - Head of Sangihe Islands District, North Sulawesi, Jabes Ezar Gaghana urged the Regional Governmental Apparatus Organization's (OPD's) leaders to give serious consideration to following up on recommendations of the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK).

"We urge the OPD leadership to seriously follow up on the BPK's recommendations," he stated in Tahuna on Tuesday.

Gaghana remarked that the Audit Board had put forth various recommendations to scrutinize the Sangihe government's financial accountability report in 2018.

"The BPK had pointed to 17 findings for the OPD leadership to follow up on in 60 days," he noted.

Gaghana has urged the District Inspectorate to continue monitoring the follow-up of the board's recommendations by the OPD.

"The Inspectorate must monitor BPK's recommendations that are followed up by the OPD," he added.

He is upbeat that prior to the deadline ending, all governmental apparatus organizations would have followed up on all recommendations put forth by the BPK.

The district head also requested that coordination be established between OPD leaders, so that they did not work singlehandedly.

"Coordination must continue to be established between regional apparatus organizations to forge synergy and not working on their own," the district head stated.
