Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA) -
Research, Technology and Higher Education Minister Mohamad Nasir has said the Indonesia Government is keen to intensify cooperation in research, technology and higher education with China.

"For many years, we have had cooperation with China. Now, we want to step up this cooperation in the fields of research, technology and higher education. I supervise this ministry, under which there are seven million university students. Hence, we are interested in how these seven million students could collaborate with China," the minister said, while seeing off 45 Indonesian university students going to China in an exchange program, here on Friday.

Among many subjects, Indonesian students could learn about human resources development and employee performance from China, he added.

The 45 Indonesian students will visit China from June 15 to 21, 2019 under the student exchange program between Indonesia and China.

They are expected to be exposed to Chinese culture, technology and nature attractions during their stay.

The ministry has been seeking to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources by promoting student exchange programs with other countries, he noted.
