The physical expenditure posture increased as compared to 2019 wherein it amounted to 50.51 percent, according to data received by Antara in Jakarta on Friday.
Jonan noted that the rise in the indicative ceiling in 2020 cannot be separated from the efforts and hard work of the House of Representatives' Commission VII.
"We are grateful for the encouragement of members of Commission VII. When the 2018 State Budget is Rp6 trillion, then they strongly criticized why it came down to Rp4.9 trillion in 2019. However, now it has gone up and is not half-hearted double," Jonan pointed out.
The minister noted that the physical public expenditure budget in 2020 will be used for gas networks to connect 293,533 households, distribution of as many as 50 thousand converter kits for farmers and fishermen, and drilling of 750 water wells in areas facing a water crisis.
Moreover, 20.47 percent, or Rp1.98 trillion, will be used for employee operations. Furthermore, in the indicative ceiling of the 2020 Draft State Budget, non-physical public expenditure reaches 16.66 percent, or Rp1.61 trillion.
Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives' Commission VII Ridwan Hisjam, who led the working meeting, lauded the ESDM Ministry for the 2020 budget posture that prioritized efforts to increase capital expenditure and commitment to efficiency in personnel and goods expenditure.
