Kupang, E Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA) - Belu District's Christian Fernando Yogi Finanta and East Flores District's Daffa Ayatullah Imani from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) were selected for Indonesia's U-16 national student football team, Fary Djemi Francis, team manager, informed ANTARA Kupang, Wednesday.

"Both those future football players from NTT were spotted by Coach Maman Suryaman when he observed the Bintang Timur Atambua Football Academy in the company of BTA's coach Bert Pentury," Francis remarked.

With the selection of Finanta and Imani, NTT is said to be a region giving birth to potential players.

"NTT football players have always joined our U-16 national student football team since 2017 until now," Francis pointed out.

Francis has pinned high hopes on the duo strengthening the U-16 national student football team, as they will play matches in the China Gothia Cup in August and pursue another achievement as champions, repeating the team's performance in 2018.
