The loans diverted to each customer lie in the range of Rp2 million and Rp5 million, PNM President Director Arief Mulyadi stated in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, on Thursday.
In the first half of 2019, PNM had channeled loans worth Rp9.73 trillion comprising Rp1.9 trillion extended to micro and medium businesses and Rp7.7 trillion disbursed though the PNM Mekkar Program
To realize the target, PNM plans to launch the Mekkar Plus Program in August 2019. The program will enable small and medium entrepreneurs to receive fund injection of up to Rp15 million each.
The program will not differ much from the Mekkar Program. Under the new program, the frequency of meetings with each group of customers will be intensified to offer coaching to them.
"Technically, they remain the same. The loans will be given without collateral. The difference is only the intensity of meetings with each group of customers per period of time," he explained.
PNM has over 100 thousand customers in West Sumatra alone.
Mulyadi has projected PNM to channel loans worth Rp10 trillion through the PNM Mekkar Program and Rp4 trillion through PNM UlaMM until the end of this year.
